Right now we're working on the legislative side of things. 2,4-D is in
the process of being reviewed, and we're hoping that we can ensure that
the epidemiology on 2,4-D is known.
I would like to see what your argument are and what media you are trying
to hit. It would help to get this in major press to get on the radar of
those in Ottawa deciding if they need to change the regulatory
framework. If many individuals and groups get out there and in the
press, then the government is more compelled to change things.
With respect to our forest program, it has primarily focused on logging
and habitat protection as opposed to chemical use, because it is so
pervasive (with all but Québec spraying).
We did however, take on the NS government this past summer and summer's
in the past, when they tried to begin spray programs on Crown Lands.
(see http://www.sierraclub.ca/atlantic/camp_stopspray.htm for more
information)
Hope this helps to clarify SCC's approach on herbicides in forestry.

Good.
What is sierra club doing about it? I'm working press relations right
now,
gathering info, building my team, and writing persuasive arguements.
How
can my team be of assistance to the Sierra Club?
